Pursue Others

What's that voice in your head?
Should I really do what it says?
As believers the Holy Spirit lives in our heart and provides direction in our day to day life
Often times we hear the voice but fail to act.
You just never know who's life you will impact.
On a recent mission trip I was passing out literature inviting people to come to a citywide Evangelistic Crusade. We approced two tenage boys who were smoking. I suggested to the interpreter that we walk over and give the boys some information. She was reluctant based on their appearance. We went up a talked to the boys and invited them to the crusade. They showed up to the crusade and one of the boys gave his life to christ. Two of his friends were also there and you could sense God speaking to their hearts.
On another occassion I saw two girls walking toward a sports camp we were holding. They seemed interested and I remember giving them a flyer earlier that day. Unfortunately they turned and walked away from the event. I grabbed an interpreter and we walked up the street 3 blocks to catch them. We invited them to come and they happily did. They came back each day and even went to the crusade. The two girls and a friend prayed to ask Christ in their life.
Did I do anything to win these people to Christ - No I didn't.
Did I participate in a small way. Yes I did.
I responded to the Holy Spirit's voice inside that prompted me to pursue these individuals.
As I saw these boys and girls come to Christ I couldn't help but wonder what the outcome would've been if I would've acted.
Would they have made it to the events of the week or the crusade.
Only God knows these answers.
I just know that I'm glad I follwed the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
As Christians our lives should be characterized by obedience to our Father.
Are you being obedient in your life to follow his prompting in your daya to day life.
You just never know how such small seemingly insignifigant acts may lead to changed lives
